About Us
As a non-profit organization, ATP represents providers of tests, assessment tools, and services for education, employment, certification, licensing, and clinical applications—advancing standards that strengthen the integrity and impact of assessments worldwide.
I-ATP Activities
I-ATP fosters ethical behavior within the testing community, protecting the interests of test publishers, users, and test takers alike.
Educational activities highlight the societal value of professionally developed tests and the importance of protecting tests as the intellectual property of publishers. A key component of this effort is establishing a leadership role in developing industry guidance documents (e.g., test security, innovative item types) and serving as the primary source of industry information (e.g., trends) for various stakeholders, including policymakers, parents, and the general public. These educational and training programs emphasize quality and continuous improvement across all aspects of the testing process. To meet these needs, I-ATP seeks cost-effective, technology-driven methods to deliver programs to both members and non-members. Whenever feasible, I-ATP collaborates with other associations interested in the testing process to expand the reach and impact of these initiatives.
Networking and information exchange with both member and non-member organizations are also essential activities for I-ATP. Members play an active role in guiding the division’s direction, offering valuable input that helps shape its activities and culture.
